Welcome to #smallbusinesssaturdays with @twinmamawama! This week I am showcasing a local small business I love, Honey and the Moon Shop. From the first view on Instagram, I immediately started envisioning where I wanted Megan’s aesthetics in my home. And now that I have purchased, I keep coming back for more!
Honey and the Moon is a Boston-based, woman-owned small business specializing in dried flowers and sage bundles for the modern romantic. Their products are inspired by apothecaries of a bygone era where overgrown pathways flourish with thickets of wild-harvested botanicals.
Rooted in nature, they believe that your home is an extension of you, and by adding dried flowers into your space, you can create movement and texture that feels rich with intention. And, luckily, when you aren’t quite sure how to express your intention, they offer guidance and direction when you give them a baseline idea. Meg recently made the wreath below for me. It is exactly what I wanted! As soon as I picked it up, I was ready for more! I just placed my order for two more bouquets and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with.

Now a little about the shop owner, Megan! Meg is a beautiful inside and out “old soul” with an effortless boho-chic personality and style. She is creative, talented and so easy to work with. She started Honey and the Moon to spark a creative fire she felt from within. After living in California for six years, she and her husband have moved back to Boston to be closer to their families. While in California Megan bounced around from job to job in limbo, unsure of what she wanted.
But, when she decided to begin Honey and the Moon, it started with a small idea that grew into a blossoming adventure. She’s always loved the idea of something beautiful that could last, and when she discovered dried flowers working in the bridal industry, it was a no-brainer. She wanted to create beautiful moments in time for people. She especially likes to reflect on them when life feels dark.
She hopes to keep creating and inspiring others with her work. She hopes that by sharing her creativity, others will be inspired to find what gives them the same spark of magic that she feels while designing.
