Hello and welcome back to #smallbusinesssaturdays with @twinmamawama! This week is all about Ashleigh Bachand and her new online shopping adventure: Pink Pigeon Boutique. After years of dreaming, and researching the business, Ashleigh founded this business from the ground up. I love her slogan: ‘Where Romantic + Boho Fashions meet. Helping busy women feel confident, stylish and pretty’. I have no idea what my “fashion sense” is, or if I have it at all. So this slogan speaks. to. me. I am a busy woman and I would love to feel confident, stylish and pretty! Hit me with it, Ashleigh.
This year, Ashleigh decided that there is never a time like the present, and built her business from the ground up with a small savings and a beginner’s knowledge of how to build a website, run a small online business and purchase inventory. It was both exciting and terrifying. The one thing she was confident of, was her ability to serve her customers with the highest standard and to provide as positive an experience as possible, since she knew all too well how hard it can be to shop for clothes as a busy woman and mom of two.
Fueled by her passion for helping women feel confident and stylish no matter the occasion, whether it be leggings and a sweater or a dress and heels, Ashleigh strove to create a place where every woman would strengthen their own confidence through fashion. Sing it to me.
Pigeons hold a special meaning for Ashleigh, one of courage, strength and hope. Coupled with the femininity and romance associated with the color Pink, Ashleigh aspired to build her boutique to celebrate the women who embody both sides. Now that she has accomplished the opening of her online boutique, the next goal is to open a brick and mortar store front in a local town so that she can truly provide a personal shopping experience for her customers. Ashleigh is extremely social by nature, and genuinely cares for people. She makes you feel at ease and confident instantly. I cannot wait to see where her dreams take her.
I am loving the cardigan selection at PPB. I am eyeing the Canary Cardigan and the Crochet Wing Cardigan in oatmeal. The dresses are gorgeous, and I am loving the White Swan Dress (and thinking it would be especially beautiful for a bride-to-be at a bachelorette, bridal shower, or rehearsal dinner!). I am also very aware that I am going to need new tops as we begin to return to normal; I won’t be able to wear oversized men’s t-shirts to work every day! I am also digging the accessories, and love the Wallet Key Ring and Bangle Set with the Acrylic Monogram Keychain. The pair would make a dreamy and unique gift.
